photos of you should find you.
how it works
Captchr is a camera app that sends the photo to the people in it.
- 1
Someone snaps a photo
They open Captchr and point the camera. No contacts to swap, no codes to scan.
- 2
Captchr works out who is in the shot
It uses location, camera direction and Bluetooth from nearby people who have the app. Face matching is separate, optional and opt in.
- 3
You get a ping and you decide
People in the frame get a notification first. The photo reaches you when you claim it.
About 2 trillion photos are taken every year, 94% of them on smartphones. Capturing is solved. Getting the photo to the person in it is not.
built around consent
Opt in only
Captchr works between people who have the app and choose to be discoverable.
Nobody finds you by your face unless you choose it
By default, matching depends on where you are and where the camera points. Face matching is optional and only works if you turn it on.
